Since the high for the S&P 500 index on February 19, it’s been an interesting few weeks.
As a local financial planner and investment advisor, I have always counseled people to keep things in a meaningful historical perspective.
To that point, I have attached a chart of the performance of the S&P 500 index over the last 40 years when there have been medical epidemics.
